How We Work at Teens Who Tech

Teens Who Tech is a student-led, volunteer organization comprised of high school students that want to make a difference in their communities by helping seniors feel more empowered and confident with technology, while feeling more connected and less lonely.

Teens Who Tech partners with local senior-assisted living communities to place high school students on-site for regularly scheduled tech support and social connection opportunities. During the in-person sessions, the students are available for one-on-one or group consultations to address various technical issues, or to lend an ear to any other topics their senior counterparts want to discuss.

Our key insight through our work has been that while the technical support is empowering for our senior friends, the social connections can be even more powerful in reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness.
